Custom deliveries
This week's custom delivery requests, and delivering them by crafting, gathering or fishing, with Satisfier.
With Satisfier (vsatisfy) installed, your assistant can see this week's custom delivery requests and deliver them for you: one client at a time, or the whole week as a background job.
| Tool | What it does |
|---|---|
get_custom_deliveries | The deliveries left this week, and per client: unlocked or not, rank, satisfaction, deliveries left, and the three requests (craft, gather, fish) with the item, the bonus, how many it still takes and how many you carry |
deliver_custom_delivery | Delivers one client's request and waits until it is done |
do_custom_deliveries | Does this week's deliveries for all clients, one after another, as a background job |
stop_custom_delivery | Stops what Satisfier is doing |
"What do my custom delivery clients want this week?"
"Do my custom deliveries."
"Deliver the crafting request to Zhloe."
How a request is delivered
Each client asks for three things a week: something to craft, to gather and to fish. Each delivery counts once against the weekly allowance shared by all clients (12).
- Crafting: Satisfier buys the ingredient from the client's vendor, crafts with Artisan and turns the items in.
- Gathering: Satisfier has Questionable gather the items, and Questionable turns them in. When the items are already in your bags, XIV MCP has Questionable turn them in directly: Satisfier's own turn-in doesn't work for every client (Tiisol Ja).
- Fishing, only when you ask for it: XIV MCP catches the fish with AutoHook (switch to Fisher, bait, the spot, fishing until there are enough), then Satisfier turns them in. Spearfishing requests aren't supported yet.
Without kind, the gathering request comes first (Miner or Botanist, whichever it needs), and the crafting one when gathering isn't possible. Fishing is never chosen unless you ask for it.
The weekly job
do_custom_deliveries plans every client's remaining deliveries within the weekly allowance, then delivers them one client after another. kind uses one kind for everyone, clients limits it to some clients. get_job follows it.
While a delivery runs, Satisfier's window stays open: Satisfier keeps its client data up to date while it is shown.
While a delivery runs, YesAlready is paused (TextAdvance is not). Its "Custom Deliveries" option turns items in the moment a delivery window loads, even while the window is still hidden behind a client's dialogue, as with Tiisol Ja. The conversation then runs ahead without the window, Satisfier waits for a window that never shows, and anything that touches the hidden window can crash the game. YesAlready resumes as soon as the delivery is done.
Scrip caps
Deliveries pay scrips, and each scrip has a cap (4,000). When a turn-in would take a scrip over its cap, the game asks first, and neither Satisfier nor Questionable answers that question. So XIV MCP delivers only as many as fit under the cap, counting the most a delivery can pay. When none fit, it doesn't start and says which scrip is in the way: spend some first, for example on materia. get_custom_deliveries shows per request how many fit (fitUnderScripCap) and which scrip limits it, and get_currencies lists every scrip with its cap.
If the game asks a question during a turn-in anyway, the delivery stops right away, answers No and reports what it asked.
