XIV MCP

Gold Saucer

The Fashion Report, Triple Triad cards, opponents and decks, playing and farming cards with Saucy, and the Cactpot lotteries.

These tools have their own module, Gold Saucer, under Integrations maintained by XIV MCP: reading is allowed by default, everything that plays or changes something is denied until you allow it.

  • The Fashion Report needs no plugin.
  • Triple Triad reading (cards, opponents, decks) and saving a deck work with Saucy or TriadBuddy.
  • Playing Triple Triad and the Cactpot lotteries need Saucy.

Fashion Report

ToolWhat it does
get_fashion_reportThis week's theme, hints and ready-made sets from fashionreportxiv.com, with where you have each piece and whether you have its dye. Goes online (Online lookups).
complete_fashion_reportStarts one background job for the "easy 80" set (or "easy 100"): gets the pieces, dyes them, puts them on and presents the outfit.
present_fashion_reportPuts on the given pieces, walks to the Masked Rose and presents your outfit for judging.

"Do this week's Fashion Report for the easy 80 points."

How the job works

complete_fashion_report reads this week's set and plans every piece:

  1. Getting each piece, the cheapest way first: you carry it already; a retainer has it (a summoning bell, then transfer_retainer_items); it is in your glamour dresser or armoire (your inn room, then retrieve_glamour_item); a vendor sells it (buy_item); it is bought on the market board (buy_from_market_board), at most max_market_price gil (50,000 by default) and only in a city with a market board; or, with AutoDuty, a dungeon that drops it is run until it drops (run_duty). Pieces with no known way stop the job before it starts; get_item_sources shows other ways, such as crafting.
  2. The dyes, with dye_item. Most colors come from Standard Spectrum Dye now; if you have none, the job buys one from a vendor or on the market board.
  3. Presenting as the last step: it puts on the pieces, walks to the Masked Rose and presents. The best of your 4 weekly attempts counts.

Right before presenting, XIV MCP uses a Gold Saucer VIP Card from your bags (more MGP), unless its bonus is already active. Turn this off in /xivmcp → Modules → Gold Saucer → Use a Gold Saucer VIP Card for the Fashion Report (on by default), or pass use_vip_card to present_fashion_report. Without a card in your bags, the job presents anyway.

After the judging, the job puts your gearset back on and, once you approve in game (the approval lists the pieces), throws away the pieces it bought (from a vendor or the market board) that are worth 5,000 gil or less: the vendor price, otherwise the lowest market board listing on your world. Only pieces the job itself bought can be thrown away: pieces you had already, or took from a retainer, the glamour dresser or the armoire, never are, and neither is a piece whose value is unknown. Turn this off or change the limit in /xivmcp → Modules → Gold Saucer → Discard cheap pieces bought for the Fashion Report. The gearset's glamour plate can't be applied in the Gold Saucer, so put it on again somewhere else.

The Masked Rose judges from Friday 08:00 UTC until the weekly reset on Tuesday. Outside that, the job only prepares the outfit.

Triple Triad

ToolWhat it does
list_triad_npcsOpponents: where they stand, their rules, the match fee, the cards they give (which you have, which wait in your bags) and whether you have beaten them
list_triad_cardsCards with stars, type and the numbers on each side, whether you have them, and who gives them
get_triad_decksYour five decks
set_triad_deckSaves five of your cards as one of your decks
build_triad_deckBuilds the best deck against an opponent and saves it as deck 5
play_triple_triadGoes to an opponent and plays a number of matches, or until a card drops
farm_triad_cardsCollects missing cards: from one opponent, or from opponent to opponent
get_saucy_statsHow many matches were played, won and lost with Saucy, and the MGP and cards won
stop_saucyStops Saucy's Triple Triad automation

Things to ask:

"Collect all the Triple Triad cards I can still win from NPCs."

"Which Triple Triad cards am I missing that Gold Saucer NPCs give?"

"Get me the Lightning card from Triple Triad Trader."

"Build the best deck against Joellaut and play five matches with it."

How playing works

  1. XIV MCP goes to the opponent: it teleports and walks with Lifestream and vnavmesh, or shows you the way and waits.
  2. It talks to them to start the match.
  3. Saucy picks the deck, plays and rematches until it has played enough matches, or until a card drops.
  4. For a card or all cards, XIV MCP checks after each drop whether you have what you wanted, and starts another round if not.

A card that drops arrives in your bags as an item. It counts as had for "until you have the card", but only joins your collection once you use (register) it.

farm_triad_cards runs as a background job, so it can keep going for hours. Follow it in /xivmcp → Jobs or on the overlay, and cancel it there.

Collecting every card you can win

list_triad_cards with source: "npc" lists only the cards opponents give, with a summary: how many you are missing, from how many opponents, and in which zones.

farm_triad_cards without an opponent starts one job for all of them:

  • The route starts in your current zone, then goes zone by zone, always to the nearest opponent next. zone limits it to one area, max_npcs (20 by default) keeps the job to a manageable size.
  • Each step plays one opponent until you have all of their missing cards. A card that several opponents give is only farmed once, and an opponent left with nothing missing is skipped.
  • Unavailable opponents are left out and listed: those that need an unlock quest first, and (with skip_unavailable, on by default) those that only play at certain Eorzea hours and are outside them right now.
  • During the job you can skip an opponent (update_job with skip) or cancel it. If an opponent turns you away, the step fails and the job waits for you or your assistant to skip it.

list_triad_npcs shows for each opponent whether they can be challenged: unlocked, the unlockQuests still needed, their hours, and availableNow.

Decks

  • deck on play_triple_triad and farm_triad_cards picks deck 1-5, optimized (Saucy builds the best deck into deck 5 first), or recommended (the game's own pick). Without it, Saucy's own setting is used.
  • set_triad_deck checks the game's rules first: 5 different cards you have, at most one 5-star card and at most two cards of 4 stars or more.
  • build_triad_deck uses Saucy's deck optimizer. It simulates matches with your cards against the opponent's rules for a few minutes and keeps the best deck.

Cactpot

ToolWhat it does
play_mini_cactpotGoes to the Mini Cactpot Broker and plays today's tickets, up to 3 (10 MGP each). Saucy picks the spots.
play_jumbo_cactpotGoes to the Jumbo Cactpot Cashier. Saucy collects last week's prizes, walks to the broker and buys this week's tickets with your 4-digit numbers, or random ones (3 a week, for 100, 150 and 200 MGP).

Saucy walks from the cashier to the broker with vnavmesh. Without it, Saucy stops after the cashier, and you talk to the broker yourself.

What it changes in Saucy

Saucy has no interface for other plugins. XIV MCP sends it /saucy commands, and changes its settings in memory for as long as a tool runs (which deck, the deck optimizer, the Cactpot modules and ticket numbers). Afterwards it puts them back. Saucy's settings file is not touched.

GATEs, Cuff-a-Cur and Out on a Limb are not covered: Saucy cannot be told to start them from outside.

Terms of service

Automating game actions is against the FFXIV terms of service. Use XIV MCP at your own risk.
